Anchor block slope stabilization uses anchored reaction blocks as a solution to slope instabilities.

Common Uses

  • Stabilize slopes
  • Provide support for existing retaining walls

Technical Details

The pattern for the reaction blocks are typically rows that go across the slope or retaining wall that needs stabilization. Each planned block location has an anchor installed in its centre. The reaction blocks themselves are precast or cast-in-place around the head of the installed anchor. After, bearing plates are installed and the installed anchors are tensioned against the reaction blocks. The finished product resists the movement of the retained soil or wall.
